My Mk I Zephyr convertible was so low that it sat on the bump stops with four people on board. With its twin exhaust hung below the chassis rails, and straight under the rear axle, it was a challenge to get onto the punts in South Australia. I had to approach at a 45 Degree angle, to avoid ripping off my Lukey two in two out muffler. This used to frustrate the hell out of the punt operator, who was trying to get me to drive straight ahead. At the time, my childhood sweetheart lived in Adelaide, and I lived in Mildura, so regular weekend trips meant four punt entries and four punt exits most week ends. Unfortunately, my convertible was tee-boned by a woman in an FB Holden station wagon with a full length roof rack. The FB rolled and spun up the road on its roof rack. On the bright side, my childhood sweetheart and her husband are still good friends of mine. pm, for a 7.30pm start. Please remember to bring something for supper (as well as your appetite). Visitors are always welcome. Ladies are welcome. If you haven't been before, come along, and bring your sense of humour.
REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR NAME BADGE, TO GET A FREE CHOCOLATE FROG.
